My recent eBay purchases are filtering in. Today I expect a LOT of sweaters for Victoria. Just a while ago the HUGE LOT of clothing 4T for boys was dropped off. Fast shipping, incredible deal as well. The clothing is superb and JUST RIGHT for our dear Asa. The colors in person are him 100%. Muted greens and reds and nature like colors, basically. A wonderful assortment of pants, overalls, and shirts and sweaters and some light jackets, and three pairs of barely used really cool shoes, just right for an active boy. Asa will turn 4 on Sept 13, and size 4/4T is just good for him, with room to grow into it.
Asa is small compared with how Russell was at that age. Victoria too, wears thing in sizes higher than her age. Russell is now only evening out to his age in clothing size, wearing 8’s now, but he’s constantly growing in height, not width mostly, which is why he could be stuck in smaller clothing for summer [mostly shorts and only jean his ankles showed in for church sometimes]. Over all, though, the bigger sizes look better on him. Length of course is the biggest thing in pants, he’s so slim though. Well, I need to take stock in the clothing I have for him now. We had some things given to us not too long ago, and there were many things for him to wear this Autumn and Winter.
Frank wasn’t home when the box came today. So he missed out on our “Christmas Morning” kind of thing, as the children said it was “like”. 🙂 It’s fun going through things you order to be shipped. I think it’s even more fun when it’s stuff found on eBay. So then, Russell was delighting in this whole thing, and it was nice to see him proud of his brother and how he looked in something, or would look in this or that. He had a hint of sadness showing though, that this was all for Asa. We got him a new coat, which came last week. He’s the only one with a new coat, and it’s really cool, Italian Stone Leather. 😉 Mucho Macho. So that keeps his spirits buoyed up I guess.
On a cooler day we’ll have a Fashion Shoot maybe 😉 Today is just too melty. Humidity is up again. It lightly rained last night. I could deal with a humid day a bit more if it were the price to be paid for torrential rain that we need so bad. But it’s not happening. Some trees are losing their leaves, others turning Autumn colors in spots, all because of light-drought. The years they’ve been alive on our property have been hard years, with a lift in the drought the last year or so, and it coming back again this year. I see the connection between Hurricanes and Drought, with the drought in effect it’s noticeable that there have been no major hurricanes blowing through Florida and coming apart to drench this area. We could really use something, several somethings.
So in this heat I’m dealing with Autumn and Winter clothing. Phew! It’s nice, but just thinking about it half-deeply makes me itchy and hardly able to breathe. I’m looking forward to showing these things to Frank later, when he’s home. He’s spoken admirably of all I’ve done with the things I’ve found. Prov. 31-ish. 🙂
