It Snowing! Happy March!

In Georgia it’s usually Springtime in the South, by the time March 1 rolls around. Sure it can get down to freezing at night, and some days be chilly, but not that bad.

It’s snowing right now. OK, thick Flurries.

It’s snow though. It’s snowing. March 1, 2005 10 AM and it’s snowing in Georgia.

I took some pictures with the digital. I’ll see how they turned out a bit later. It’s not easy taking pictures with a digital, of something like this. It’s nice to get fast pictures on the computer without having to develop film and print it out first, but lets be real, sometimes a photographer just wants a normal camera to use. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My camera has a backlog of film to be developed and needs new batteries, so it’s out of commission for now. ๐Ÿ™

So is March coming in like a Lamb or a Lion?

That doesn’t apply down South, overall. This is not lamby nor lion like, so it’s not even something I can pretend to rate, as I would based on a mild balmy day, or a wild windy stormy day. This is just heavy clouds over cold air levels, dumping it’s load in a fuzzy nice way. This is way better than the rain we had the last two days. It’s nice to walk out in 30 degree snow filled air weather. It FEELS warmer. It’s nice. ๐Ÿ™‚

So we’ve had a weird winter again. Snow in March. Add it to the vaults. It’s NOT an environmental problem, mind you. Just another wacky weather event. They are around all the time. Years and years before vehicles traveled with gasoline as fuel. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Say WHAT! Enjoy it, what do you mean enjoy it, I have never heard of such thing before?? How can one enjoy snow, it is not possible. I must admit this is a very troubling concept!! o) ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Franky, you are indeed not of this world at all. One CAN enjoy snow. Many do infact. Not all Aliens that live here dislike snow, only a few non-chosen types. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You, Mr. Alien are in the minority, absolutely on the margin of the margins of the marginal margins. ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s precisely your troubled life that had God lead you to me in S. Florida, one who actually does like snow.

It can be enjoyed and is enjoyed by many. Dog even likes it. If Dog likes it, it must be good. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. LOL

I think it is easier to enjoy snow when you don’t have it for a great length of time nor in large quantities!! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Although, many living here seem to disagree with me to some extent. That would be those who “live” for skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, etc., etc. While we have participated in those activities in the past, they didn’t become consuming passions and we rarely do them now. In fact, not at all the last few years. Sledding is still enjoyed…but when the temps dip below 0 degrees even that is falls into the “non-enjoyable.” ๐Ÿ™„

We have come to the conclusion that we may just be living in the wrong place…but still really like it here…EXCEPT for the winters. *sigh* What to do? What to do? We’re working on a solution…but it takes time. ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, I think it is possible for you all to enjoy your snow while I’m not enjoying mine! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Go out with the kids and the dog and slip and slide and get cold and wet…and then come in to a warm fire and something hot to sip on…and watch your snow disappear in no time flat!! ๐Ÿ™‚ (Think of me with another 6 weeks of it at the very least and it will help you enjoy yours more! ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

    LOL
